Sharon Carlisle Haslam passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2023. She was born on March 20, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She drove school bus for Jordan School District for nearly forty years and she loved all of the kids. One of her joys in life was being a member of the Utah Barrel Racing Association and traveling to the local races where she won many buckles, saddles, and horse trailers. As a member of the AQHA, she enjoyed breeding and selling horses alongside her husband Jack. She loved spending time with her seven great-grandchildren and always teased them about getting a bigger willow stick if they misbehaved.
She was loved by many members of the community and was always looking out for neighbors when her and her husband took their “ 25 cent tours “ around Fairfield where they lived.
She is preceded in death by her parents Owen John Carlisle and LaReta Hansen Carlisle and her daughter Jodie Haslam. She is survived by her husband John Haslam, two grandsons, and seven great-grandchildren, Tyree Pulham (wife Nicole, Ryann, Gunner, Paisley, Jack, and Bristol) and Justin Pulham (wife Kara, Gracie, and Connor).
A short graveside service will be held on Friday February 10, 2023 at 12 noon at the Riverton Cemetery 1540 W 13200 S Riverton, UT 84065.

Sharon was my neighbor, friend and fellow bus driver. She gave me the courage to try driving school bus and was such a great example. She was such a wonderful person with her horses and she and Jack took such good care of them . In my mind I can feel the warmth and love I felt whenever I would visit her. She was a real friend.
