Sharon Hunter Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 25, 2025.
Sharon Mary Hunter, a constant source of wit and compassion, left this world on March 24, 2025, in Arcadia, CA, surrounded by loved ones, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on September 8, 1952, in Christchurch, New Zealand, she infused her 72 years with laughter, love, and an unwavering spirit that inspired all who knew her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her devoted husband, Richard Hunter, her loving son, Brian Smith and daughter-in-law, Diane, her cherished granddaughter, Rhegan, and her enduring mother, Doreen Moore. Her siblings, Lisa Gauthier, Gavin Moore, and Brendan Moore, will hold her memory dear, as will the memories of her late father, Horace R. Moore, and her brothers, Peter, Paul, and Gregory Moore, who predeceased her.

Her professional life was marked by a successful 30-year career at Xerox, but it was her later pursuit of a degree in Veterinary Technology that truly captured her heart. For over a decade, she followed her passion, dedicating herself to the well-being of animals, big and small. Sharon's love for her dogs, cats, and her horse, Muji, was a testament to her generous soul.

Sharon's life was all about embracing one's passions and cherishing every moment with loved ones. Funny, loving, and spirited, she taught us to approach life with a sense of humor and an open heart. Her story is not one of loss but a celebration of a life well-lived and a reminder to us all to love deeply, laugh often, and care unconditionally.
