Deepest sympathies to the entire MacCormack Family. Mrs. MacCormack (which Skippy insisted I not call her) was always such a fun and welcoming person. I remember the weekend we spent together, with both the Buckland and MacCormack clans, up at the Silvery Moon in North Bay. I also remember the time Dave (Mr. MacCormack to me) showed us around their beautiful farm in West Carleton. Both Dave and Skippy were always so kindthey had a way of making everyone feel like part of the family.

The passing of a loved one leaves a heartache no one can heal, but the love they leave behind is a memory no one can steal.

Dave, we just found out about Skippy's sudden death. We expected to get together here in Lakeland. Losing Skippy was an absolute shock. Our hearts go out to you and the kids. She was a great person.

Dear Dave, Sharon, Tracey & David,

The 50s - I first remember Skippy at her wedding - she was the beautiful Cinderella incarnate, and Dave her prince charming. Early '60s - Cathy and I Iooked after Sharon and Tracey for an overnight. When you returned, Skippy remarked how grateful she was for all the completed laundry, including my folding the sheets. With that infectious chuckle and smile she said "i don't fold my sheets'. "Ohhh, you girls are just great'. I remember those words because they made me feel loved, and appreciated. Now, onto to 2016, visiting Skip at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Listening to her vivid detail about the flight home, I interjected and said "and the 5 guys (on the plane with her) were cute too eh Skip?". There it was again - that infectious smile, chuckle and wink.

God set aside one special spot in his vast kingdom of heaven for that special someone; now taken by the ONE and ONLY Skippy.

It has been an honour and blessing to have called you "aunt'. One measure of a life well lived is what they leave behind. You have left a family filled with love, compassion, and so much more.

Your loss is immeasurable, but please know that my prayers have, and will continue to be with all of you.
