Sharon Ann Eastman Martin

Sharon Ann Eastman Martin passed away December 15, 2012. She was born December 29, 1955 in Austin, Texas. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio in May 1974. Sharon attended Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas where she met Jerry Martin. They were married on January 4, 1976. She graduated from the University of Finley, Ohio in 1993 where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Hazardous Waste Management, Summa Cum Laude and Schoolcraft College, Michigan in 1999 where she received her Associates degree in Culinary Arts, Summa Cum Laude. Sharon worked in an environmental lab as Inorganic Lab Manager before following her early interest in the culinary field. While attending Schoolcraft College she won medals in ACF contemporary cooking competition, ACF competition practices and regional ACF team competitions. She worked for eight years at Oakland Hills Country Club in Detroit, Michigan. She is survived by her daughter, Meagan Martin Ramirez and husband Jesus; two grandchildren, Isabella and Danielle; mother, Mary Lou Eastman; two brothers, Kirk Eastman and wife Cindy, Craig Eastman and wife Mary; sister, Lynn Mullins and husband Steve; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, at Porter Loring Mortuary North. SERVICE SATURDAY, DECEMBER 22, 2012 11:00 A.M.
