Sharon Shamel Obituary
Sherry currently has her toes in the sand while proudly watching over her granddaughters-Micah and Sydney, and cousin Zoey Gines, as their passionately devoted guardian angel.
Sharon is finding the best skipping rocks while singing encouraging words to her children, Todd Hughes & April Gines. With an open heart, she happily took on the role of stand-in Mama to many, giving them a shoulder to lean on with motherly love drawn from personal experiences.
If you knew Sharon, then you know she would want you to please take some time for yourself, head down to any beach and slow down. Feel the sand beneath your feet, the warmth of the sun on your face, listen to the laughter of children in the waves, and appreciate the life you've been given.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 26th, with visitation starting at 12:00 noon at the most peaceful, grounding church:
St. Barnabas in the dunes- Episcopal Church of Gary, Indiana.
