Sharon Trobough Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 28, 2024.
Sharon Kaye Trobough (née Sherry Mahe) was completely healed of blindness and every other pain and sorrow when she went to be with Jesus Christ her Savior on December 26, 2024. Sharon was born in Salida, Colorado on March 3rd, 1954. Her early childhood was filled with family and cousins living close by. Her family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico when Sharon was in 4th grade, and in 11th grade to Austin, Texas where she graduated from high school and afterwards trained and was certified as an occupational therapist.

She then returned to Albuquerque for a number of years before joining the rest of her family in Northern Virginia. There she stayed many years and was blessed with two daughters, Mikel and Xia. During that time she developed many friendships and was an important person in many people's lives, including her stepchildren whom she loved dearly, Charlie and Johanna Trobough. Sharon loved and cared for the elderly as an occupational therapist and also worked as a teacher's aide due to her love of children.

In later years, she returned to Albuquerque, where she reconnected with old friends and developed new ones. People were extremely important to Sharon and she created lifelong friends everywhere she went.

She was compassionate, artistic, creative, intelligent, and she saw beauty in the world around her that others often miss. She both adored and was protective of her siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She took the same approach to friends of every ethnicity and religion, whom she loved like family. She was a legend to the Babson family, the Alshanag family of Jordan, and the Ali family of Egypt. Sharon, or Sherry, as many knew her, glistened with grace and kindness everywhere she went.

Sharon is mourned by her two daughters, Mikel Trobough and Xia Trobough-Ali, her mother, Frances Mahe, sisters Theresa Mezzetti, Kathy Schaffer, Debbie Fuhry, grandson Andrew, and many other relatives and close friends.
