When I entered Crawford High, I knew no one. The first week, not watching where I was going, I literally ran into Sharrin. Rather than a senior girl just walking away, she took a skinny young lost kid under her wing. Over that year, she helped me adjust to high school. She gave me advice on how to survive and thrive. Over the years, we traveled different roads. But I´ve always been thankful, that once, in a crowded hallway, she stopped and cared for an overwhelmed stranger, when she really didn´t have to. That first year, and my entire life, were so much better because of Sharrin. May God bless her memory, her family, and the legions of friends she made over the years.

I was in the same grade as Sharon´s brother- Jimmy Mass. We were in 3rd grade on together . I must admit I had a little crush on Jimmy in 3rd grade. We too lived in the same general neighbors.
I did not know Jimmy had an older sister until high school. In 10th grade when Sharon was in senior, Sharon was just so involved in everything at Crawford High School- song leader, home coming queen, active in leadership, so pretty. Even if you did not know her well, she made you feel like she did. She was just a special person whose life I followed thru her life. Her brother also was a cheerleader too after Sharon had graduated- he was our head cheerleader until our class graduated in 1963- three years after Sharon. It sounds like Sharon was always the outgoing sweet, interactive person we remember from years in San Diego.

My name is Michelle Hazlewood, I was a neighborhood kid! I was younger and all us little girls loved and looked up to her because she was so pretty, cheerleader, and so nice, I got to see and talk to her at her Dad´s funeral last years in San Diego and she honestly looked the same! She had a beautiful a heart! She was very special person

I was in the same 1961 graduating class at Crawford as Sharon. All the boys adored her. She and Ernie Dronenberg were cheerleaders. When we played Crawford dances and sock hops, (I was in the Nomads band), she was always the first on the dancefloor, along with Barbara Dumler. My condolences to the family and all her friends who loved her dearly.

I lived in the Redwood neighborhood, by the Masses, Howard & Mildred, Jimmy her brother, was my best friend and we did a lot things together & graduated with me at Crawford 1963. Sharrrin was always sweet to me and her mom & Sharrin nick named me Tedder ball, because my name was Ted and I spend a lot time at their house with Jimmy. I will always miss her happy attitude and her great smile, God Bless her.

I always liked Sharrin, although we didn't run with the same crowd in high school. I never saw her again after high school and yet she always remained in my memory as the most positive person I have ever known. It doesn't surprise me one bit that she had so many friends who loved her. I am not a member of the LDS church, but throughout my life I have had positive feelings toward that church because "if Sharrin was a member, it must be great!" Best wishes to all her family and friends; I am so happy you could experience her joyful presence in your lives.

As new neighbors to Sharrin's dad and Mom, Mildred and Howard, Mark and I (Terry) moved into her parent's neighborhood in the early 90's. We met sharrin during her visits from Utah to visit her parents. We became very good friends, and we would stop by her house in Salt Lake City, Utah each time we passed that way in our travels to visit our family in Bringham City. Sharon was very dedicated and practiced her Morman Religion to the fullest. Sharon met and new my brother, Fr Richard, a Catholic Priest who had a beautiful singing voice. When Fr traveled with us thru Utah, Sharrin insisted we stop by her house for a visit, treats and of course a singing jamboree to listen to Fr and us brothers sing together... Sharon loved music. It was funny... upon leaving her house she would always give Fr pamphlets and books about the Mormon Religion, thinking that one day he might convert. They are both now singing songs of Praise in the Heavens.

Sharrin may you Rest in Peace. I knew Sharrin from the "old Redwood neighborhood ". I also graduated from Crawford but in 1965. I remember trying out for cheerleader in my Sophomore year. Sharrin was so sweet to encourage me. I could do the cheer but was to shy to really shine. Thank you for such a lovely Obituary of her life.

Sharrin was our neighborhood friend since 1951. In high school, EVERY boy was madly in love with her. I remember going to JCPenney's in North Park and the thrill of having Sharrin run the elevator for us. I saw her last at her Dad's memorial looking adorable as always and engaging with every person there. She was a jewel of a person and will be dearly missed.

She was such a wonderful person. I stopped by and we had dinner on my way to St. George. She will be missed.

I spent so much time in her home as a child. Kelli was my best friend in elementary school. She was like a second mom to me. She was so kind and such a bright light.
