Shaun P. Cooney

SHAUN WAS LIKE MY BIG BROTHER, I LOVED HIM. I KNOW HE IS AT PEACE NOW AND THAT GIVES ME COMFORT AS I HOPE IT WILL TO THE COONEY FAMILY.

To Shaun's family, I was very sorry to hear of Shauns passing. I met him for the 1st time when he was in Hillcrest Commons and my son Nick Harrington and I stopped by his room when visiting my mother. I stopped by just to say hi after that whenever I was there. He was a wonderful person and had a great personality. He was very good to my son and his wife and my grandkids who he used to call the Harrington animals. We will all miss him very much.

To Shaun's Family:
Jake Larkin was kind enough to call me and tell me the sad news about Shaun. I know/knew many of you Cooney's in Wahconah Regional High School and you are all beautiful and happy and fun. My heart goes out to you. I hope you will be able to enjoy the holidays, anyway. I know Shawn would want you to. Sincerely, Judy Fenn writing from Virginia Beach, VA. shaun was like family to us and his passing has left us with an empty spot that only he could fill with his "very special" personality. I thought of shaun as a suurogate dad and i hope he knew how much we cared about him. Those of us who knew him well saw beneath his rough exterior and saw what a kind, generous,caring guy he really was. He did so much for me and nick and the kids and im sorry i will never be able to repay him for that. we will miss him more than he'll ever know.

To the Cooney family,
I haven't seen Shawn in 30+ years. I do remember he was a friendly and outgoing person. My deepest sympathy in your loss. God bless.

I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of Shaun. He was one of my favorite people at Wahconah Regional years ago, and, although we've lost touch over the years I will always remember him fondly, as a wonderful fellow. My deepest sympathy.

To Shaun's Family,

I can't tell you how long it's been since I last saw Shaun....but I do remember his personality and his heart for others. My deepest sympathy for your entire family during this sad sad time. May you all find comfort in the arms of Jesus. May Shaun be in a much better place.

Dear Rosemary and Jack, I was sorry to hear of Shaun's death--God rest him. You have lots of memeories. It helps to believe
with our Faith as St. Paul writes: "Life is changed and not taken away." Marty will be in Heaven to meet him.

Amy & family,
It has been since high school (more than 25 years now) that we have had any contact, but I read in the paper about your brother and I just had to send my thoughts and prayers to you and your family. I cannot even imagine the sorrow and grief that your family is feeling at this horrible time. They say time and love heals all wounds, I hope they are right. I am hoping that you and your family will have happy holiday (as best as can be expected under the circumstances). Thinking of you.

Shaun made the best Irish Soda Bread & was always willing to share it with the staff. He also gave us a "Celtic Blessings" angel ornament for our office Christmas Tree. He will be missed by the entire Oak Hill Staff.
