From the surviving Brodsky´s I am so sorry that we grew so far apart over the years. I still have fond memories of the camping trips to old man´s cave and spending the weekends with his family even though I was more of a pest to Shawn than anything else I still remember his kind heart and his smile. Sending all our love. Matt, Andrew and my family ( not sure if any of you have met them Kecha, Makenzie, Nicolas Brodsky and our 2 oldest Donald and Kaleb Hoffer)

This has completely caught me off gard. I'd never expected such a tragedy to happy to a family hat has only brought joy to this world. This family helped me through the darkest time in my life and I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for the love and support of Shawn, Susan and there children.

I pray for God´s blessings, comfort, peace, and healing during this incredibly difficult time.
After losing both my parents young I find true comfort and peace knowing they are in Jesus´s arms in heaven and I will get to see them again one day. Hallelujah!!! Praise Jesus´s Holy name that we have eternal life in Him. The hope that is in Jesus cannot be taken away.

Our heartfelt condolences, love and prayers go out to the Chapman family. Shawn´s love and generosity never went unnoticed and will be cherished forever. His calls to give prayers were received with deep admiration. The way he held his livelong friendships close was a true gift. I´ll never forget Eileen sharing the story of the first time Bob met Shawn. They were just toddlers, and Bob was sitting in his front yard. Shawn´s mom was walking him around the block when Shawn picked up a board, walked over to Bob, and hit him in the head with it. They've been friends ever since. That was classic Shawn, and it still feels true to who he was. Always a jokester, always a brother and forever loved.

I am sorry to hear of Shawn's passing. He gave me an employment opportunity at a time when I really needed it, for which I will always be grateful.
Rest in Christ, Brother.
