In memory of

Kassy (Connolly) Quinteros

The good times, laughing until we cried, burping contests you always one, how you worried about me, racing downhill, burrows deep in the snow, very successful fossil hunts, music on the AM transistor radio on "our" rock, sneaking to watch Tom and Jerry... these memories go on.
Dark clouds that you fought too long. If there was a sunny day you'd share it, when you had a song to sing you'd share it just to make me smile. I love you little bother and always will, you'll be waiting for me with Dad. You had more love and kindness than your poor body would allow you to show, but I saw it and I knew it was there. No worries, rest easy.

I know my son, Joshua, was there to meet you, in heaven. Now you will be close together, at Oaklawn, and above me, someday, when I go to see my precious son Joshua.

A few times in life you meet someone for the first time and it feels like you have known each other forever. Shawn and I had that kind of introduction. He asked me on a date. I said, "My daughter is older than you." His response was a laugh and, "Will you adopt me?" Instead, he adopted our cat who was not allowed to move into our apartment. He had Hendrix until he wa 17 years old and called me in New York for his special burial. I can't define our relationship other than it was extremely rare, beautiful and unique. A part of me has gone with him and I know someday, somewhere, we will look into each other's eyes again and know that the journey never ends. My deepest condolences to all who loved him.

Shawn, I will always remember the good times from High school where we first met, through growing up; maturing and seeing you become a great dad. I watched you come back from a lot of adversity and raise yourself to a better place and gain respect and adoration from others for your service to your fellow men and women. You affected many lives with the gifts of improving ones life and reinventing ones self to rise from the ashes and I'll greatly miss your friendship, our cutting up and humor and your smile.

I met Shawn when he worked at Charles Schwab. He was always laughing and didn't take everything seriously which is how I am so we got along well. Glad he found God & became a Christian. From Facebook, I could tell he really missed his daughter whom he will see again.

Shawn you were a good friend and I enjoyed working with you at Liberty. You always had a heart of gold, and always had a kind word to say about people. You wore your heart on your sleeve for others. You were a great comedian and a lot of fun to be around. I will miss you my friend. I will see you one day soon.

Shawn it was such a pleasure to have known and worked with you at LM over the last 10 years. The world lost such an amazing, kind and caring guy, but God needed you more. May the peace and comfort of God that surpasses all understanding be with your family. Shawn enjoy your Rest In Paradise.
