I would just like to take this opportunity to say how deeply sorry I am to hear of Shawn's passing. I didn't get the chance to meet him but I will forever feel his presence with me.

Just heard the sad news today and I am absolutely stunned and shocked. Shawn introduced me to Zumba and what an inspiring teacher he was! My deepest condolences to the family.

This is really sad news. The vitality that Shawn radiated in his classes was a gift never to be forgotten and very inspiring. It has been a month since the sad event, I only learned about it now thru a friend. Since I moved from Ottawa, I have bbeen looking for a Zumba instructor as gifted and approachable as Shawn without success and there are many more people mising his grace, and love for music. Rest in peace Shawnm and my deep condolences to his family,

I am so shocked and deeply saddened to lose Shawn. He was the most inspiring dance teacher I have had. He had a special gift for dance, for music and for people and was an original choreographer. It's hard to believe his vibrant energy, expressed through his dance, is gone. My thoughts will be with his family. He won't be forgotten.

I was so sad to hear of Shawn's passing. He was always a smiling face at Dovercourt, he will be missed by many. My condolences to you and your family.

The few times I saw him after highschool, he spoke mostly about you and how happy he was. Rosemary, I am terribly sorry for your loss. I was a friend of Shawn's from school, and thought the world of him. The last time I saw Shawn was at your wedding. He was bursting with joy that day. It sounds like you have had a wonderful life together. The regret is that Shawn is gone far too young. My sincere condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss and so hope the sweet memories people are sharing here help in some way. I knew Shawn through Zumba at the RA Centre -- a wonderful original instructor who added something different to every class and challenged us all, especially those of us with few (or like me, no) dance skills. He was so kind, never laughing at us (OK, maybe once or twice), and always left us smiling for the rest of the day. And I'll miss listening to his chats after class, often filled with proud stories about his daughters.

I was shocked, saddened and dismayed to find out that Shawn passed away when I arrived at his class tonight at Dovercourt. Shawn introduced me to Zumba = his smile, his wit and his ability to continually renew himself were really appreciated by the entire class. After three years of dancing with Shawn it is going to be difficult to imagine doing Zumba with anyone else. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time especially his two daughters. Every time he came back from a competition we were treated to new music and new choreography. It was a blessing to know you.

Words are not enough to describe the sadness that you must feel. You are in our thoughts and prayers. My heart goes out to Shannon,and Victoria, who will be without their beloved Daddy.

I am so sorry Rosemary, Shannon and Victoria. Sean was full of youthful grace and humour and the energy of his Saturday morning Zumba classes was infectious. I know he was very proud of the dancing accomplishments of his daughters--I'm sure he would be pleased that a dance foundation has been formed in his name.

Shawn was my Zumba instructor at CMPA. An awesome person and wonderful dancer. He always spoke fondly of his wonderful family especially his girls. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so going to miss the wonderful and humorous conversations we had with Shawn for the past couple of years. This was such a staple that I truly looked forward to it every week. My heart just goes out to his family, especially his daughters.
