Margarita Rodriguez Grimaldo BROWNFIELD-Services for Margarita Rodriguez Grimaldo, 79, of Brownfield will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Fr. Gerald Leatham officiating. A rosary will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Brownfield Funeral Home. Margarita was born on Dec. 18, 1935, in Austin. She moved to Brownfield where she met the love of her life, Francisco Grimaldo, Sr.; they were married for 58 years. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church for many years, where she was a Guadalupana and a Cursillista. In 2008, she moved to Lubbock, where she was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband; a son, Margarito; her parents; two sisters; a brother; and a grandson. The family would like to express their sincere and grateful thanks to Dr. Kadiyala, Dr. Robertson, Dr. Zias, and the Covenant Medical Center staff for their love and care of our mother. Margarita is survived by her three sons, Bonifacio, Francisco, Jr. (Graviela), and Johnny (Silvia); six daughters, Andrea Rangel (Joe), Delfina Ramirez (Fred), Mona Lisa Garcia (Rickey), Marta Alvarado (Zeke), Josie Garza (Juan), Maria Melgar (Luis); 47 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Eugene, Jose, Leonardo and Lazaro Rodriguez; a sister, Ernestine Sotello; three sister-in-laws, whom she loved dearly and considered them sisters: Ana Maria Salas, Guadalupe Mesquias and Narisa Rendon; her dearest friend, Julie Rodriguez; and several loving nieces and nephews.
