Dear Peter...
It is with great sadness to have been informed of the passing of Sheena. I have known Sheena for a number of years since my daughter Hanna was a baby & Sheena would always ask after her. Sheena would quite often pop in when you were both over here in the Wairarapa & she soon became an integral part of our small spinning group. Sheena was an extremely talented craftsperson and was always good company. We will all miss her visits along with her cheery personality & intellect. My heartfelt thoughts go out to you at this time.....Delphine

Dear Peter,
It is many years since I have been in touch, but I really appreciated Sheena's support and friendship while we were teaching at Wellington High back in the day, and then when we were bringing up our families in Karori/Northland.
I send my deep sympathy to you and your (grownup) children - i do remember some of them at least from way back in the 80's and 90's.

We are greatly saddened by the loss of Sheena, our sister-in-law and very dear friend.
Peter, James, Jean and Hugh our thoughts are with you. Life will be very different for you all without the strength of Sheena to help you through life. Be comforted knowing she is now at peace and out of pain.
Trixie and Robyn, you will have so many happy memories of your sister we hope will sustain you through the coming time.
Love from Norma and Len.

I had the privilege of living with the Bennetts from January 1967-January 1968 as an American Field Service exchange student. Many memories of Sheena from that year are coming to mindplaying clarinet in orchestra and in a clarinet quartet, getting up SO early to swot for her School Cert exams, lots of jokes and pranks between us. Sheena was a gracious host when I was able to visit NZ a couple of times, including a memorable hike around Wellington with Peter and going out of her way to drop us off/pick us up at the ferry. She was a much better correspondent than I was, and I appreciated her ongoing efforts to keep us connected. I am really missing Sheena, and my heart goes out to Peter and the rest of the family and her friends.
