JAGO, Sheila Mary (Johnson) WW II Veteran, British Intelligence Corps. Sheila died at Carlingview Manor on Sunday, February 15th, 2009. Loving wife of Peter Jago. Sheila and Peter were married in Worthing on November 24th, 1945. She was born in Ramsgate, Kent, U.K. on July 1st, 1924. Daughter of the late Reginald and Florence Johnson of Worthing, Sussex. Dear sister of Bob Johnson (deceased) (Val) Monica Fenton (Ian) and Andrew Johnson. Cherished mother of Penelope Bouchot-Humbert, Isobel Trussell of England and Mark Jago (Jane) of Ottawa. Grandmother of Heloise and Duncan (Marijana) Bouchot-Humbert and Simon and Sarah Trussell of England and Nicola Jago of Ottawa. Great grandmother to Oliver, Callum and Jayden. Sheila was a long-time resident of Stittsville, having many friends in the community. She had a keen interest in local affairs and was a member of the St. Thomas ACW Group. Sheila loved books and enjoyed working in libraries. Whilst living in England, Peter, Sheila and children enjoyed travelling and camping holidays in Europe. After coming to Canada in 1981, Sheila returned to Europe on frequent visits to family and friends. She accompanied her husband on many business trips into the United States and on their retirement they travelled in and toured world-wide destinations. For the past three years, Sheila took delight in having Topsie, her little Norfolk Terrier. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 23rd, 2009 at 11 am at St. Thomas Anglican Church (1619 Main Street, Stittsville). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the church hall. In memory of Sheila, donations to charity of choice appreciated.
