My fond memories of Sheila date back to my childhood growing up in Pointe-Claire Village at the corner of Lakeshore & Golf Avenue. Sheila and I were both involved in Girl Guides and she was my patrol leader. We shared many good times camping in the Laurentians in Morin Heights. She was always a very dedicated person. My sincere condolences to Patricia and the family.

As a new nursing grad seeking employment I shook in fear anticipation of my interview with Sheila O'Neill. I arrived at her cramped office, she asked my why I wanted to work at 'the Vic' and I told her it was my dream (not very intellectual after having rehearsed my philosophy of nursing...). She extended her hand and welcomed me to 8 Medical. I will never forget her for giving me my 'dream job'. She always had a presence in the medical pavillion, always took the time to be attentive to individual nurses, and always had the highest standard of patient/family care in mind. Madeleine Buck

Over the years, our relationship developed from boss and employee to mentor and mentee. She taught me so much and I will never forget her. Please accept my sympathies to all of her family. She will always be in my thoughts and prayer.

I was lucky enough to know Sheila these last few years. She delighted me with her wisdom and tales of her remarkable life. I will miss.

Sheila was a famtastic mentor who encouraged me to spread my wings and fly. She was " my boss" and a friend. Throughout the years of my career at the RVH she was a great influence. She spoke often of her family with loads of love. I will remember her fondly. Another star to look down on us.
