On behalf of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Epsilon Upsilon Omega Chapter, we extend our deepest condolences to the Oliver family. Lt. Oliver was a true champion for success! We will never forget the pearls of wisdom she shared with our chapter during our visit to the State House. Her legacy lives on and Heaven has gained a special Angel. We are praying for all of you, the Governor, and the entire State of New Jersey. As believers, we are reminded and pray you find comfort in God´s Word. He is a comforter and he said he in his word will not leave you nor forsake you!

It is with a heavy heart and grieving spirit that I extend my deepest condolences for the loss of your highly esteemed and beloved Sheila. Sheila was a young community activist and community organizer for Tri-City Citizens Union for Progress. The then-management provided Sheila with the opportunity to hone her leadership abilities and advocacy skills that improved the lives of regular people in the neighborhoods. Because Sheila became one of the most resourceful people in Essex County, the then-leadership of Tri-City Peoples Corporation continued the long-standing bond with Sheila, who served as a Special Assistant from 1994 to 1997 and thereafter as a consultant through 2001. We were honored to know her and to work with her. Her passing was too soon and sudden. We lost a very special person, but we are grateful for the time that we learned from her, laughed with her and strategized to make a difference for others. May God surround you with His love, Sincerely,

My sincere condolences to the family, and the many coworkers, and colleagues of Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver. Her passing is a tremendous loss. A gifted politician, with expertise in government affairs, and social planning. We truly will miss her compassion for inclusion, and reaching out to the Indigenous population within the State, and the surrounding communities. We honor her good work, and thank her for that.
