Sheila VanMarter Obituary
Memorial services will be held 1:00p.m., Friday, August 14, 2015 at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel.
Sheila was born September 28, 1976 to Bennie and Margie Cullens in Waco, Texas. Sheila was a wonderful wife and mother. She was a very sweet person who will be missed by all who knew her. You would never hear her complain, she was courageous in her battle with cancer. Sheila never met a stranger; she was loving and caring to everyone. Her last wishes were to marry her love, Mark, to see her daughter, Katie, graduate and to see her youngest daughter, Amanda, turn 3 years old. Thankfully she was able to fulfill those main wishes.
She was preceded in death by her mother; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Clara Cullens and maternal grandparents, Elva and Andy Anderson.
Survivors include her husband, Mark VanMarter; daughters, Amanda VanMarter and Katelyn Mathis; father, Bennie Cullens; step-mother, Karan Cullens; brothers, David Cullens and wife Chasity and Darrell Cullens and wife, Shelia; sisters, Kimberly Shepherd and husband Wes and Tiffany Butler and husband Ciro; fur baby, Susie Q and several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Scott and White Cancer Center and Providence Hospice for their love and care of Sheila in her last days. The family would also like to thank the staff at Peace Lutheran Church for their support in their time of bereavement.

Katie, Mark, and Amanda y'all are in my prayers... Sheila was a wonderful person and she had a beautiful soul... She touched everyone she came into contact with in one way or another... Sheila, you will be missed by all that had to opportunity to know you.....

Mark, you and Amanda are in our thoughts and prayers right now God will give you strength to continue living and taking care of Amanda at this time. Sheila loved you and Amanda so much. Keep that thought in mind. God will show and lead you to help Amanda as she grows up in the coming years without her mother. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to call.
