Dearest Darin and Tyson,
I am so very sorry about the loss of your precious mother. I have the very best memories of Aunt Shelby, especially of her beautiful laughter. She seemed always to be in a good mood, as evidenced by her twinkling, smiling eyes. She was certainly always warm and loving to me. Words cannot adequately express what a positive impact she made on my life. I am so sorry that I was unable to attend the funeral, but that did not mean that you were not foremost in my mind and heart these past days. I grieve for the world, in a way, because the world--often a cold and unforgiving place--needs more people like Aunt Shelby in it. Seventy-four years is simply not enough time for her to have been here, at least in my humble opinion.....but none of us would have wanted her to stay a moment longer if it meant her continual suffering. And so, I am relieved that she is now resting and enjoying a far, far better place. I send you and your families my love. Aunt Shelby was a very special woman. I am a better person for having had her in my life.

I am so sorry to hear of Shelby's passing and pray for all of the family.
I grew up with Shelby. She was always such a sweet girl. I loved her piano playing and singing at Fellowship Chapel.
Shelby came to the funeral home when my mother passed away. I was so pleased to see her after all the years.

Aunt Shelby was always, always one of my favorites. The thing I will always remember, besides her courageous battle with cancer, was her contagious laugh. She was always smiling, always laughing. I pray I will someday be remembered so fondly by my neices and nephews. Praying for peace for my cousins during this difficult time. Love you guys much. May it somehow bring you a peace to know that we will surely see her again in Heaven someday.
