I give thanks for Shelby - my first friend when I moved to Lookout Mt. as a 6 year old in 1964 as my dad joined the Chattanooga Times. My elementary school memories are rich with times of adventure with Shelby. My heart and prayers go out to Shelby's family.

Shelby brought such light to all. She was so kind and offered such support to my daughter during a VLGMA conference. I was blessed by attending a church service at St. Paul's in Ivy. Shelby embraced all with her beautiful message and love. She made this world more beautiful and holy.
