Shelly was the best neighbor you could ask for. It was like having an uncle next door. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

Shelly was the best neighbor anyone could ask for. It was like having an uncle next door. We will miss his friendly greetings, seeing him out for his walks and Georgia will miss the attention he lavished on her!

I'm so sorry to hear of Shelly's passing. He and my dad Remo carpooled to the GE for many many years. After they both retired Shelly would stop by daily for coffee and crosswords with dad until we moved my folks to Santa Barbara. He was a good friend and could be counted on to lend a hand whenever needed. His kindness was inspirational.

To the Allen Family,
Just realized today it was your Dad. I would have attended his service.
My Mom Sadie Smith on Reservoir Rd. always had
chats with your dad. As I drove up the street we always had a nice conversation. I think he missed all the neighbors on that street.
He was a great sweet man and your mom and all of you were so lucky to have him.
Peace & Love to you all

I will miss singing with Shellie in the choir at the United Methodist Church of Lenox. He was a friend to many, always fun to talk with, and a great person to know. I will miss him.
