SHELDON COHEN

Sheldon and Faye were such dear friends of ours. We looked forward to our annual dinners together. They were a great comfort when Jim was ill and later passed. They were l lives that exemplified their belief in the best qualities governmental action could achieve.

Sheldon and Faye were rare for Washington and so dear to us: they were kind and righteous people who made the effort to comfort us during a terrible time for our family. They were real people - models of righteousness

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Sheldon was a good friend and tax advisor, he loved and talked about Faye all the time, he will surely be missed by many. He will be remembered as the "tax king".

Among tax professionals, particularly we who were native to DC as he was, no one was more highly regarded. Those of us who had the pleasure to know him admired him all the more. Brilliant, generous, kind, possessed of impeccable integrity, and treating even the least among us with respect and cordiality, he was truly a great man. Your family has lost a beloved patriarch; we have lost our icon. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Sheldon was a long time board member and Treasurer of the National Jewish Democratic Council. As a former Chair of the NJDC, I had the honor of serving along side Sheldon for many, many years and was always in awe of not only his accomplishments, but the wisdom and dedication he brought to our community. And he was funny! What a great guy - what a fabulous life! Sheldon will be missed - may his memory be a blessing.

May you be comforted by the fond memories of your dear loved one. It will help you through your grief along with the promise our Heavenly Father made at Psalm 94:17-19. He will comfort and strengthen you as you mourn your loss.

He was one of a kind who made a difference to many people of all backgrounds. His contribution to many countries, as well to the United States and his community was remarkable. My family extends our most cordial condolences to his cherished family.
