Sheldon "Sy" Goodman

Sy (and Randy) were my husbands' roommates during heart surgery at a hospital in Ft Lauderdale, FL. Who could ever have imagined meeting such a blessed, loving family during this upsetting litany of events?

We only knew Sy a short time yet we felt he and Randy have always been in our lives. On meeting his friends and relatives, one immediately ascertains Sy is a well loved, warm family man. One day in his room there was even a line of friends waiting to visit...thru the door!

Being admitted to a hospital for heart surgery on vacation is horrifying. Despite our terrified range of emotions, Sy, Randy and family were compassionate to us despite their own fathers' illness. And for that, we all are grateful beyond words.

May Almighty God Bless Sy and his family during this time of profound loss. During unexpected circumstances, we were honored to have met Sy.

Dear Randy, Cary and family, our heartfelt condolences to you on the loss of beloved Sy. We will miss his ready smile, his happy disposition, his laugh, his joy of life and love. Naomi would choose her outfits on Shabbos for Sy's approval and look forward to seeing and admiring his sartorial finesse. Our VIP row in Chabad will never be the same but he will always be there in our hearts. May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and may he rest In Peace with Roz. Love, Ira and Naomi
