Shelia Corrine "Yellow Meat" Doss

Shelia Corrine (Yellow Meat) Doss was born in San Francisco, California on October 22,1955 to Ruby Morris and Aaron Doss. God called her home on Thursday February 6, 2025 in Victorville, California. As a devoted mother of eight children and a compassionate foster mother, she dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for others. She retired at the age of 69, having spent many years providing a loving home to both her own children and those she fostered.

She graduated from Compton High School in 1974. After graduating, later she attended Long Beach City College. Shelia embarked on a career that reflected her deep commitment to care and support for others. She served as a foster mother from 2006 to 2012, a role that she embraced wholeheartedly, providing a nurturing environment for many children in need. Her professional life also included over 15 years as a security manager, where she was respected for her leadership and dedication.

Shelia was a cherished figure in her community and a beacon of love and generosity.

Shelia's life was a testament to her immense capacity for love and her unwavering commitment to her family and community. As a mother of eight, she created a home filled with warmth and care. Her home was not just a dwelling but a sanctuary for many, reflecting her role as a pillar of comfort and support.

Her hobbies included cooking and taking long walks on the beach, activities that brought her great joy and peace. These moments by the sea were precious to her, providing solitude and a cherished connection to nature.

The funeral services will be held at Forest Lawn Mortuary located at 4471 Lincoln Ave., Cypress, CA 90630, on March 7, 2025. The Forest Lawn Mortuary in Cypress, California, is assisting with the arrangements.
