Shelia K. Williams, 62, Galveston, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 1:20 PM at Seton Specialty Hospital. She was born on August 8, 1949 in Kokomo to the late Ned H. and Florence (Sweeny) Taylor. She married Edsel Williams. They later divorced. Shelia attended Kokomo High School, after which she worked for Delco for fourteen years. She then later worked as a bar tender for the Handle Bar for several years. She loved her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She had a great love for all children. Everyone in the neighborhood called her "Grandma". She never knew a stranger, and was always very caring and giving to all. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to say a special thank you to Donna Greenwood for all of her help, and special care. Shelia was a member of the American Legion. Surviving is her children; Kimberly (Craig) Walker, Galveston, Edsel Williams Jr., Galveston, Angela Armfield, Kokomo, grandchildren and extended grandchildren; David A Mumaw III, Halen Liggin, Alexis Williams, Tori Fitzgerald, Jaden Armfield, Lauran Walker, Zach Armfield, Tisha (Chad) Walker, Kevin Taylor Jr., Brandon Taylor, Whitney Taylor, Skyler Chorrushi,, and many other extended grandchildren, and one soon to be great grandchild, David Allen Mumaw IV, brothers and sisters; Sandy Summers, Debra King, Bridget (Tom) Maher, Mike Taylor, Pat (Kathy) Taylor, Kevin (Marty) Taylor, Chet Shoemaker, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four siblings, Steve Taylor, Tim Taylor, Cindy McCoy and Ned Taylor Jr, one son-in-law; Todd A. Fitzgerald. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 15, 2012 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street Tim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4- 8 PM Thursday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family, envelopes will be provided at the mortuary.
