Shelley Buckner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 5, 2025.
Shelley Buckner, was born on March 12, 1966. Shelley left us while asleep in her home on July 29, 2025 in Modesto California. She leaves behind her mom, Carol and brothers, Chris and Jason and her beloved dogs, cats and many friends.

Everywhere Shelley has lived she has made a mark and a huge impact on everyone in her life.

She had a caring heart. She fed the homeless and was a foster placement for dogs before they could be placed in a permanent home. Her dogs had more love and a better world than most humans.

For a year or so she had traveling nurses staying with her in her home and she kindly cared for them during their stay. She cared for her elderly neighbors whenever she could.

We have lost a very bright spirit in our circle of family and friends.

Her presence will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Club 90, located at 9065 South Monroe Street. All are welcome to come together and honor Shelley's life.

She embraced life fully and celebrated her family and friends every day. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all whose lives she touched.

Shelly was the life and laughter of any gathering. Her heart and soul were bigger then the moon, and her compassion to help others especially the rescue animal world was beyond expectations.
I will miss our talks and her infectious laughter and her random texts to make me laugh.
There are not many people you meet in life that think about others before themselves, she definitely was one.
I love you sweet friend and will miss you.
May you RIP and may God enjoy the laughter we will be missing we will all miss you!!

I was very sorry to hear of Shelley's passing. I met this wonderful woman through pet rescue and she was bigger than life. We've lost an amazing animal advocate and the rescue community will feel this loss for a long time to come. RIP, Shelley.
