Brian, sorry to hear of Shelleys passing. Its been many years since we left Calgary but the memories are strong. Shelley and my sister Geraldine were best friends after meeting in Nurses training until my sisters untimely death at the age of 28. Sadly from the same disease that took Shelley. Today I'm sure they are renewing an old friendship.

Our deepest condolences to Shelley's family. We lived down the street from you when you were on Chalice Road. My brother and I called her Mrs. Willox at the time. She was always kind and gracious and would give us a ride home from school on cold winter days. More recently, my mom, Betty Park would occasionally run into Shelley at the grocery store and they would get caught up on each other's families. She will be fondly remembered by our family.

Dear Brian and family,
Jack and I grieve the loss of your dear wife, mother and grandma. Shelley was a dear friend to me (Lindy) having met 49 years ago as we entered the Calgary General Hospital School of Nursing. We lived across the hall from each other and worked, studied and played together for 3 years and on January 1, 1964 at 2.00 a.m. Shelley prayed with me and led me to the Lord. I saw Shelley put God first in all aspects of her life and she was an avid prayer warrior. Her incredible faith was with her even in her darkest moments as she struggled with her liver disease. It consoles me that Shelley is with her Lord and Saviour and is no longer suffering, but I will miss her terribly, as you all will. But Shelley's absence is only temporary as we all meet again on the other side because of the hope that lies within us.

Shelly, you are free of your pain and suffering and what an example of grace you were.
We had some great times together and you will be greatly missed at the old General reunions. Peace be to your memory.

We are so glad we got to see Shelley in August. She is now free of her pain and suffering. Her warm smile and infectious laugh will be missed. Our prayers go out to Brian and the children.
