Shelly Hahn

Shelly Renee Hahn, 35, of Taneytown, MD, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at her home. Born September 5, 1980 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of Commodore "Gene" and Doris (Sweeney) Smith, Sr. of Thurmont. She was the wife of Jason Robert Hahn.

Shelly was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed going for boat rides, fishing, singing, and listening to country music. She was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Shelly loved spending time with her family, especially her children.

In addition to her husband and parents, Shelly is survived by 5 children, Austin Hahn and girlfriend Courtney Baer of Thurmont, and Jacob, Emily, Wesley, and Joshua Hahn of Taneytown; siblings, Robin Smith and husband John of Thurmont, Commodore Smith, Jr. and wife Christine of Thurmont, Cathy Green of Waynesboro, PA, Todd Smith and wife Selina of Cascade, Amy Seiss and husband Kenneth of Waynesboro, PA, and Erin Smith and fiance Tommy Taylor of Taneytown; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Connie Hahn of Taneytown; sister-in-law, Georgia Lascalleet and companion, Keith of Thurmont; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also remembered by her best friend, Kristi Bunell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, 21787 with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
