Sherrell was a dedicated barbershop singer and someone who always stepped up to take the organization jobs. I loved his jokes when he added the nordic accent. Sherrell was a big man but a tender man. He came to my wife's visitation on March 7, 2009. My daughter remembered him because of his tears. He and Sylvia are finally together again. And there are no more tears. God bless and comfort all those left behind who loved him.

We are so heartbroken to hear of Sherrell's passing. No one will ever no how much both he and your mother meant to our family. I saw your father about a month ago in Yorktown, and he gave me the warmest hug. The kind he used to give when I lived across the street. I missed those hugs. I will miss them even more. Your parents were the kindest, warmest, most honorable people we have ever met. I'm glad our family had the chance to know them and spend time with them, especially our boys.
With great sorrow,
The Hunt Family

Dearest Lottie,
My heart goes out to you and your family during this very difficult time. I love you so much and I'm sending good thoughts your way. I can only hope that time will ease your pain, even though your dad will never be forgotten.
Much love,

We send our sincere condolences, prayers and love to the family. We had the honor of becoming friends with Sherrell and Sylvia when they first arrived at York Point. For over 20 years we shared in many wonderful times in the neighborhood and in the Seaford Yacht Club. We have so many fond memories, especially times of harmonizing in song on trips to Bubba's. We are so sorry to hear of Sherrell's sudden passing. He and Sylvia were in the Body Recall class we attend at the York County Senior Center and we enjoyed knowing them and talking about the Buffalo Bills. We want to express our sympathy to all of his family. We will miss him.
