Sherrie Marie McClinton-Jordan, age 64,accepted her wings on Monday, April 28, 2025.She was born to Walter and Olivia McClinton, November 11, 1960, in Gary, IN. Her three older brothers eagerly anticipated her arrival, as she would be the first-born daughter to the family of five children. Sherrie attended Horace Mann High School and went on to receive, her associate's degree in Business Administration and graduated with honors. She was preceded in death by mother Olivia Alexander and father Walter McClinton , grandfather and grandmother, James Harry McClinton and Willie Mae McClinton, beloved stepfather Robert L. Alexander (Pops), and beloved step grandmother, Willie Mae Alexander, as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Our beloved sister, mother, and friend will be deeply missed by all those who love her and cherish her memory. She leaves to honor her life, her three children, Duane L. Campbell, Derrick N. McClinton, and Darmecia S. Jordan, fifteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her three brothers, Walter (Susan) McClinton, David (Yvonne) McClinton, Duane (Bobbie Jean) McClinton, and her sister, Linda McClinton-East. Host of other relatives and friends. Wake Saturday May 10,2025 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Funeral 11:00 a.m. at Love Feast C.O.G.I.C. 2456 Chase St. Gary,In. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park Hobart,In. Services Entrusted To Powell-Coleman Funeral Home.

To my beloved sister Sherrie Marie McClinton-Jordan's memory. She was my sister, my second mother, and my best friend. My heart is heavy with sorrow because she is not physically here with me anymore, yet, I know she is in the next phase of her spiritual journey, watching over her family, who she cherished and loved so very much. Rise in Power my beautiful angel. I will miss you deeply and will hold you in my heart until I meet you on the other side. We affectionately called each other "honey-girl" and she indeed was the best sister I could ever have and I wouldn't trade those memories for anything and the privilege I had to be her sister.
