Shirena Gaines Obituary
Shirena was a loving, caring, and giving soul who touched everyone she met. She had a joyful spirit and a heart that was always open to others. Known for her vibrant personality, Shirena loved listening to music, dancing, and bringing people together. She enjoyed celebrating life and was the life of every party, making lasting memories with family and friends.
A proud graduate of West Side High School in 1991. Shirena was known for her dedication, kindness, and generosity. She gave freely of her time and love, and she will be remembered for the countless ways she supported and cared for others.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Audry Barnes, father George Gaines, sister Antoinse Gaines, and niece Sunny Shay Wilson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother Shirley (Gaines) Love; sister, Na'Kesha Williams; nieces, Antonia Wilson, Raven Wilson, and Treana Williams; nephews, Michael Williams, Lorenzo Campbell Jr., and Earl Wilson III; aunts, Lenese Jones and Denise Barnes; her beloved partner of 26 years, Nakia "Lefty" Davidson; Best Friend, Elaine Wright and a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever treasure her light.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Wake 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m, Funeral 12:00 p.m. all services at , Powell-Coleman Funeral Home, located at 3200 W. 15th Avenue, Gary, Indiana.
