Shirley Allen

Shirley (nee Armstrong) Allen went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 9, 2009, while a resident at Vineland Specialty Care.

Mrs. Allen was born Jan. 9, 1939, in Sulligent, Ala., and moved to Vineland 18 years ago from Bridgeton.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Craig (Theresa) Wilson, John Curtis ( Gloria) Wilson Sr., Corrie Wilson, Robert W. Allen Sr, Shirl Denise Wilson, Valice (Carnell) Logan and Joyce (David) Baker; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Friday, at 2 p.m., at the Edwards and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 208 E. Commerce St. Bridgeton, with Pastor Edith Burgess officiating. Interment will take place at Fordville Cemetery, Fairfield Township. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from noon-2 p.m.
