MILLVILLE, MA Shirley (Magill) Anderson, 91, of Millville passed away Thursday May 20, 2021 in Beaumont Nursing and Rehab. Ctr., Northbridge. She was the wife of Raymond J. Anderson.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Whitinsville in 1930 the daughter of the late David and Katherine (Steele) Magill and was a graduate of the former Memorial Hospital Nursing School in Worcester.

A longtime resident of Millville, Mrs. Anderson was a registered nurse for many years. She had served as a school nurse in the Millville public schools, primarily at the Longfellow School. Previously, she was a nurse at Milford Hospital in Milford, Children's Hospital in Boston, and Cornell Medical Center in New York City.

She loved knitting, jigsaw puzzles, gardening and flowers. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband across the country and was a member of the Slatersville Congregational Church, Slatersville, RI.

In addition to her husband Raymond of 64 years, she is survived by her children Kimberly and her husband Gary Race of Littleton, CO, William and his wife Alicia Anderson of Suwanee, GA and James and his wife Marion Anderson of Glocester, RI; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday June 1, 2021 from 5 - 6:30 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge followed by a funeral service at 6:30 PM in the funeral home.
