We were next door neighbors to Shirley. She always had a cheery smile and hello every time we saw each other across the fence. If I heard CBC radio on outside I knew she was outside working in her yard. Family was very important to her as we could tell from her stories of her family reunons and of her own children and grandchildren. We admired her strength and independance. Our deep sympathies to her family.

I married into this wonderful family and I too have very fond memories of Auntie Shirley. I remember her great sense of humor and her wonderful laugh and a smile that lit up the room. My sympathy goes out to all of the family. She will be missed.

Please accept my sincere condolences on your family's loss. We have been friends with the Guy Wood family for many years and have often heard fond stories of Shirley and your family. May your memories bring comfort and peace.
