(Shirley memory told to Patty) Dolores and Hugo got married in July and it was at a Catholic Church and it was very hot. Jerry came in handy as one of the wedding group because one of the men that were chosen for the wedding party could not come. He looked very handsome. It was a very hot July morning and we couldnt eat before we were in church. We all came in and I was at the altar and fainted. Well Henry, my dad, jumped over the altar railing and carried me out.
In photos, I am standing next to Bunzo Bonaldi, lead singer for the Gaylords and Hugos friend and best man.

I wanted to ask Liz if she remembered when gma gave us a big pile of wire,... colored wire (up north).. and said let's make something,.... we came up with a way to wrap it, and a TON of jewelry. My crafty, talented Gma,... her stoking my shoulders or my hair,.. calming and saying " My Jenny,.... or Jenny,..Jenny"... knowing she was really proud of me or something ,.. but usually just out of the blue,...so Id be thinking "what did I do??",... I eventually just learned to enjoy it.... oh boy now it's started though--memories..... her smell,.. her smile,... her laughing... ❤ ... her makeup box in THE BIGGEST bathroom I had ever seen... yep I was a snooper,.,.... The really neat bath balls, the angel face makeup compact...

She really liked Paris on our trip to Europe, she went to the Moulon Rouge, I didn't but she came back a bit drunk and giggly, I had not ever seen her so happy!

I'm glad I got to spend so much time with you, Mom. I'm happy I hung out and got that last dance with you; so happy we sang songs together, walked and held hands, and you never let on that I was kissing you for the last time. It was casual-- like I'll see you tomorrow, so I'll be seeing you, in all the old familiar places, that this heart of mine embraces, all day through .... We both know the rest and have sung it many times. Love you, Mom.

Love is always patient. Love is kind. Love is never selfish. Love does not take offense. Love is not resentful. Love is always ready to trust, to help and to endure whatever comes. Sorrow is how we learn to love.

Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins, but delights in truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope and to endure whatever comes. Sorrow is how we learn to love.

Shirley was quite remarkable. I was fortunate to see her often and enjoyed our many conversations about her childhood. I was very impressed with all the books on ancestry she made for her family. She will be greatly missed.
Prayers for Kathy and family.
