As I've been reflecting upon the loss of our much beloved Aunty Shirley, or Aunty Foo as she always was and is to me, I'm a little stunned when I add up of the years of her life that Shirley spent helping to raise all of us nephews & nieces & grandchildren, and how we were all so enriched by the time, and love, and devotion she gave to all of us. I never got away from a family gathering without a hug and a kiss on the cheek from Aunty Shirl, bless her for it. I'll always remember with a laugh her giving Todd heck for one thing or another, and with love her patience and tremendous strength through all of Les' struggles. As much as she could be a strong, commanding presence, the thing that touches me the most in our loss is how much love she gave to everyone. Love, and scalloped potatoes.

My sympathies to Dale, Colleen & John, Charmain, and everyone else in grief and loss.

Shirley was one of my favorite patients. I always looked forward to seeing her on my list for the day. I know she missed her boys and grandson tremendously and I'm certain that she has them wrapped in her arms right now. My deepest condolences to her family on losing someone so special.

We are so saddened to hear of Shirley's passing. Though I believe Shirley is rejoicing as she reunites with so many loved ones in heaven, there is a still a hole left here as we grieve and miss her. Shirley and I had a special connection. I remember bringing the kids over with cookies and homemade cards when Les died. I will not forget her. Prayers of comfort go to your family.

So sorry for your loss. Comforting to know Shirley(mom) has finally been released from her pain.

May all the wonderful memories of Shirley be with you and your family. Our sincere condolences to all, our thoughts & prayers are with you.
