Shirley M. Reichert, 89, of Pine Grove, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 6, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Clara (Schnoke) and Theodore Cooper.
Shirley enjoyed raising and racing pigeons. She was a member of the Pine Grove Pigeon Club and served as the secretary for many years. She was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing as well.
Shirley was last employed as the custodian for Fulton Bank in Pine Grove.
She attended St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pine Grove.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Richard Cooper.
She is survived by her son, Donald, husband of Jean McMillin, of Pine Grove; granddaughters, Lisa, wife of James Boyer, of Myerstown, and Heather, wife of Ian Morgan, of Pine Grove; great-grandchildren, Cohen Boyer, Landon and Jack Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her companion of many years, Kenneth Reichert, and five brothers, Jerry Cooper, Gary Cooper, Dale Cooper, Leroy Cooper and Alfred Cooper, all of Pine Grove.
Services and interment are private at the convenience of family. At the family's request, memorial donations may be forwarded to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 312 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, PA 17963. To extend condolences online, visit www.gsesfuneralhomes.com. Geschwindt-Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home Inc. has been entrusted with arrangements, with cremation provided by Riverfront Cremation Services, both of Schuylkill Haven.
