Sidney Dee Hemsley, age 76, of Knoxville, died Tuesday January 31, 2017 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, member of Tennessee Bar Association; retired attorney for Municipal Technical Advisory Service, University of Tennessee. He served in United States Army for 7 years in Germany, France, Vietnam.
He is survived by spouse, Janice Creed Hemsley; children and spouses, Robert Dee Hemsley, Elaine Maglaras- James Maglaras, LaDeane Hemsley Stone- Shane Stone, James Hemsley- Danielle Culp Mathews Hemsley, Lane Hemsley- Angie Grady Hemsley, Brent Hemsley- Jaime Hatcher Hemsley, Amber Hemsley Weber- Ray Wright, Auburn Hemsley Keaveney- Matthew Keaveney, Carrie Hemsley Wallace- Joseph Wallace; daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Brandi Easter Hemsley Lauer and Greg Lauer; grandchildren, Alexis Wilson, Rachel Hemsley, Keagan Hemsley, Rebecca Hemsley, Mackenzie Hemsley, Aiden Hemsley, Grady Hemsley, Avery Hemsley, Logan Hemsley, Hatcher Hemsley,Joe Wallace, Elizabeth Lauer, Hannah Mathews, Eva Mathews, Sarah Maglaras, Sophie Maglaras, Zach Stone, Sarah Stone, Hannah Stone, Rebekah Stone; brothers and sisters, Parley Hemsley, Leonard Hemsley, Evelyn Garfield, Geraldine Marshall Officiating; sons, Bradley Lane Hemsley, James Creed Hemsley, Brent Todd Hemsley.
In lieu of flowers, food, or gifts, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice. Visitation and location: A receiving of friends will be held Friday, February 3rd, 8:30-10:30 a.m. at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with service following at 10:30. Interment at 11:30 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery-John Sevier Highway. Full military honors by East Tennessee Veteran Honor Guard. Online condolences may be made at www.rosemortuary.com. Arrangements provided by Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
