In Loving Memory of Sigrid Karen Strozyk Sigrid Karen Strozyk, former resident of Sumner, WA, died Friday, August 10, 2018, in Surprise, AZ. She was 82. Sigrid was born May 27, 1936 in Centralia, WA to Christopher and Violet (Lincoln) Johnsen, and was lovingly raised by her aunt and uncle, John and Pauline Lincoln. She married her husband, Anthony Strozyk, in Centralia in 1956; he survives her. Together they owned and operated Valley Variety in Sumner from the early 1960's until the late 1970's. Sigrid thoroughly enjoyed the Sumner community and all the friends she made along the way. She went on to work for Seattle First Bank, which became Bank of America, as teller for 26 years. Sigrid was a member of the Sumner St. Andrews Catholic Church. She enjoyed her beautiful yard and flower gardens, and spending time at the family beach property near Shelton. Above all, Sigrid loved her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Strozyk; three sons, Randy (Karma) Strozyk, Michael (Paulette) Strozyk, and Scott (Stephanie) Strozyk; and six grandchildren, Erin (Keith) Bonarrigo, Terrell (Sophie) Keen, Todd (Julie) Norman, Katie Strozyk, Stephen Strozyk, and Sarah Strozyk. Sigrid is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Samuel and Stella Keen and Gracie Norman. Oh how sad we are to read in St Andrews bulletin tonight of sweet Sigs passing. A little history with Sig & Tony, our two boys were alter boys back in the day they were called that! They started at the old church but continued at the NEW church.Sig got such a kick out of wathcing the brothers up on the alter together. Yep they would elbow each other nonchalantly BUT Sig always saw it with a BIG smile.
They had such a beautiful home. I didn't realize they had moved down close to family.Sig & I had lunch but way too long ago when Dickies BQ came into town.
Our prayers go out to you all! Sig was such a jewel, her smile just lit up me & the whole room!
I knew she battled breast cancer but it was never about her, still smiling.
I'd love to hear from a member of the family. my email is [email protected]
Blessings to your family.
All our love.
Sandy & Tom Stumpf :)

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

I have thought about all of you often. Especially around the 4th of July, remembering fondly the Annual Value Stores picnic.

Once again, I am so sorry. Be strong, I see you have a large family. Be there for one another, and remember Sig fondly. She will live on in your memories.
