Hi Grandpa! I miss you very mucha and think about you often. I miss taking a ride in your Corvette and going fishing together. Spending Christmas and Thanksgiving with you at your house or just going over to watch a boxing fight was very important to me! Seeing you in the hospital and at the rehab facilities was painful to watch, but I am glad that you always lit up when seeing your family. We used to make deer jerky together and you trusted me with certain information that you shared with very few, or even nobody. I take pride in working for the government, like you once did but not in the military. I did my ancestry test and I am 15% Spaniard, taking after your grandparents, and I appreciate you letting us know where your family immigrate from. Until the next time we meet- I love you.

I haven't seen Simon since 1956 when we went to Pyles Boys center in Kern County along with Richard & Robert Cunningham, Ernie Sawyers, Stan Bledsoe and many more. We lived in the area of Ventura called Tortilla Flat, went to May Henning elementary Schoo. We all belonged to the Ventura Police Boys Club. Simon was a born leader, taking us out to the then Ventura river west of the club (now a historic building) and we would build bamboo rafts and playing like soldiers. Not knowing we both would be in the military a few years later playing real soldiers. I now live in Avon Ohio and also belong to various military groups. Sempre Fi Simon

I was saddened to hear of Simon's passing. I went on several hunting trips with Simon to Vandenberg air force base. Simon was a generous man and he loved the outdoors. RIP Simon, you will be missed....

I was so saddened to hear of Simon's passing. Simon was a very close friend of mine for about the last 50 years. We worked together for 3M on the same slitter in the Slitting department. After we all retired I would see Simon at our Oldtimer's gathering that we have every year. The last time I saw him was at Costco about 2 years ago. I'll always remember that I gave him hug. Simon my be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Simon was a co-worker at 3M Company for nearly 30 years. He was a friendly guy who loved to come to work and get things done. Last saw Simon at our Annual 3M Retirement BBQ a year or two ago. Always in great spirit and was fighting his illness as hard as he fought in the military. As a veteran, I proudly salute this 'brother" and may peace be with Ceemon and his family.

Simon, was co-worker at 3M Company for close to 30 years. His work ethic was a fine tribute to him. Very friendly guy who loved to come to work and get things done. Saw him just a few years ago at our Annual 3M Retiree BBQ, and was in great spirits even though his illness was getting more pronounced. He fought hard as he did in his military service. As a veteran, I proudly salute this fine man! Peace be with Simon and his family.
