A memorial service for Ms. Skyla Dartez, age 40 of Marion, LA will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Saturday January 28, 2023 at the Woodman of the World at 211 N Eleazar Ave in Kaplan, LA 70548.
Skyla was born and raised in Kaplan, LA and moved to Marion in 2018 where she loved living. She was a kind and caring woman and went out of her way to help anyone she came in contact with. Skyla always did her best for her family and did her best for her children. She was an animal lover. It didn’t matter what animal it was, Skyla loved them all. She rescued many dogs in her life. Rosco, the last dog she rescued, quickly chose Skyla as his person and never left her side.
Skyla is preceded in death by her parents: Sidney Jean Dartez and Joyce Faulk Dartez.
She is survived by her two daughters: Kami Lucine Trahan and Rayn Joleigh Trahan (Cody Kenly), two sons: Koen Leverett Trahan and Sage Malik Campbell, three grandchildren: Alivia Shaye Fredrick, Allison Rose Mclin, and Athena Lynn Duhon, her father: Steven Pitts, four sisters: Amanda Dartez ( Dough Hebert), Jana Mire, Hillary Mire, Sonia Pitts – Sandoval (Anthony), and three brothers: Darell Touchet (Skylar), Todd Pitts, and Johnathan Vaughn.
Flowers can be sent to Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.

Skyla was one of my best friends. She was truly a wonderful friend, mother, sister and daughter. She loves her kids unconditionally and loved all critters, big and small, except spiders. I'll never forget her as long as I live. RIP ^Sky^
