Skylar Matthews Obituary
Rockaway Township - Miss Skylar Jane Matthews, 21, died on March 31, 2018. She was born in Glen Ridge and lived in Verona and Roxbury Township before moving to Rockaway. She was a graduate of the New Bridge School in Parsippany and was a hostess at the Olive Garden in Rockaway.
She was predeceased by her father Robert E Matthews last year, and is survived by her mother Jennifer A Matthews and brother Justin R Matthews of Roxbury Township, grandparents William and Linda Schug of Rockaway, and great grandmother Victoria Steele of West Caldwell, Godfather Glen Evans of Kinnelon, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 2 - 5 pm. Please pray for all suffering from addiction.

Beautiful Skylar, you were and always was a beautiful person you were full of life i always called you the mini Pamela Anderson with your long blond curly hair, i remember when you were in your teens and coming over you were taken away tooo early but your an angel full of hope up their and looking down on your family, friend's your now a beautiful butterfly that will spread your wings and comfort those around you. My darling baby girl, I'm breaking from your passing from this life, I just want to hold u close & smell the sweet candy you have always smelled like. I'll miss our coffee talks & our long drives together. I'll miss everything but most of all YOU. You left me way too soon. Your w ur daddy now whom I kno u so painfully missed since his passing only 11 months ago. He'll keep u safe & warm. You were a blessing for me & ur dad. You always loved the story of how ur dad & I were so happy that u were coming into our love. The bond u, ur brother Justin, me & ur father had was & still is the strongest I've ever known. Not even death can break that bond. Justin & I still have things to do here for a while but one day we will all b together again. Until we meet again my precious daughter, now u may rest..in peace.
