I would first like to give my deepest sympathy to your family. I met Sofia at St. Philomene's and enjoyed every minute of 7th & 8th grade with her. I remember practicing dance routines during recess for our talent shows and playing on the basketball team together. My parents still have our basketball team picture framed in our living room with Sofia having the biggest warm-hearted smile we all loved. The last time I saw her, we both agreed to keep in touch, but unfortunately, growing up kept us from doing so. I would just like to say that she was an absolute joy and I am very blessed to have known her. Sofia's uplifting energy and positive attitude for life was what I truly admired. I will keep your family and Sofia in my prayers.

i know we had lost touch this past year, but you were never far from my heart. I can't stop thinking about the wonderful times we had together. I am truly sad we will not make more memories for the future, but I will always treasure the ones we have.

From the time I met Sofia at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio I knew what a great young woman she was. Generous, unassuming and so full of life. Everyone there will miss her. We are all so saddened by this tragedy. Alan Daurie (Citrus Heights, CA)

La Familia Fernandez, lo siento mucho.
I have known Sofia for less than a year and I will never forget her. We first met by going all the way to Concord to see Santana and danced and we have been friends ever since. She played on my soccer team and missed it so much when she had taken the job at Arthur Murray, but she was so happy to be there. She even called and called me to come and dance with her at her studio and i did, we had alot of fun. She came out to my St. Patrick's Day gig i was DJing and that was where we shared our last dance. I even played her favorite song by Stardust "Music Feels Better With You" and she was so happy, but not happy when i cut it off as i was in the mixx, haha and didnt let me forget it. In just the short time i knew her, i have so many memories with her. I have never met someone who has left such an impact on me and i miss her so much. She nick named me Mono and she will always be in my heart. Que Te Vaya Bonito Mona, te extrano mucho. :(

I've only known Sofia for a short time since she started working at Arthur Murray Dance Studio. I'll remember her as a very upbeat and fun person to always be around. She always knew how to put a smile on my face & make me laugh during parties. She was very silly and goofy on the dance floor & would make sure people were having a good time. She would complement me on my outfits and I tought that was so sweet of her. I enjoyed watching her dance, you could tell that she really loved dancing! I'll miss her and I know many other people at Arthur Murray will miss her too! She'll be in my thoughts and prayers, and never forgotten.

Sofia was one of my close friends in high school. She was such a beautiful person, inside and out. She will be missed by so many people she has touched. I only wish I would have spent more time with her after high school. My deepest sympathies go to her family. As a mother I can only imagine the pain you are feeling but hang on to the good memories and lean on each other in these difficult times. Sofia is in heaven dancing with the angels.

The sorrow is inmense to hear about the sudden passing of Sofia. We all saw her growing up together with my kids. Words can't discribe how we all feel about her passing. She is with God now and we all will join her in heaven together with rest of relatives.

Ive known Sofia and her family my entire life since I could remeber being young, always the first place I would want to visit when going on trips to Sacramento would be to visit with the Fernandez's and see them all, I will always miss you Sofie. I wish I could be there with the family. Im so sorry for not being there.

I will always remember Sofia because she was very hospitable when a party was held at her parents house. She was always a good dancer even 10 years ago. Our thoughts and prayers go out her family. The Fernandez family has always been a good example to the community and we are thankfull for that.

Sofia,I remember when you Alana,Nick, Dale, and Phillip played together. We will all miss you even though I didn't keep in touch with your family. Sofia, Sofia.. I remember all our childhood memories together. Me you and Nick were inseperable during our younger years. We grew apart as we got older but all memories from the past and thoughts of always seeing eachother tomorrow have always stayed with me. You were to young to leave us, but you have left a wonderful memory in each of us for years to come. Even though I only knew Sofia for a short time, I could immediately tell she was a beautiful person. She was always so outgoing and spirited. She could bring energy to the room just by walking into it. I will miss seeing her beautiful smiling face. She will be missed by many people and my heart and thoughts go out to family.

Sofia knew how to make even the worst days brighter. She always knew how to make me laugh. I will miss dancing with her, especially to "our" song, Foolish. I will remember her for her bright smile and character, and as the first person to get me to shimmy. I am sad that she is no longer with us. My condolences go to her family and friends.

It was just the other day when we talked. It seems so unbelievable that it was for the last time. I will always remember the incredible energy which she exuded, her smiling face, and spectacular dance moves. She and I have had alot of fun, laughs, and practical jokes over the past few months. I met Sofia last fall at a work event and we immediately hit it off. She had a zest for life you don't see in many people and was such a joy to be around. We often spoke of our families - she loved her mother's cooking and her dad was her buddy. We both had recently quit our jobs and moved home with our families. We often spoke of the joy of spending time with our parents and the importance of family. I know she adored her family and I extend my most heartfelt condolences to all of you. I will miss seeing her smiling face and dancing with her every week. She was a very special person who touched my life.

Sofia was always so much fun, always cheerful and outgoing and an inspiration to be around. She was loved by everyone and always tried to make sure others were involved. She will be missed both on and off the dance floor.

I went to Loretto with Sofia. She was so much fun to be around. When I think back, I always remember her beautiful smile. I wish I could be there tomorrow. I will be thinking of her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

i met sofia (or sofie as she liked to be called) years ago, and i used to dance with her almost every weekend. she had a awesome personality, a great attitude and a smile that was unforgettable. to watch her dance was very beautiful. she will be very missed by many people as she often left a great impression with anyone she meets. rest in peace love
