Sonny ZAPPACOSTA Obituary
On June 24, 2012 Mrs. Sonny Zappacosta of Edmonton passed away suddenly with her family by her side at the age of 58 years.
Sonny was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Sonny is survived by her loving husband, Alfie; her children, Carly Zappacosta (Matt Hewson) and Cooper Zappacosta; granddaughter, Amelia; her mother, Diana Sach; siblings, Lorraine Garibaldi and Phil Sach. She was predeceased by her father, Frank Sach.
Memorial Service Sunday, July 1 at 4:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 - 111 Avenue with Reverend James L. Holland OMI officiating. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the ICU Unit Misericordia Hospital, c/o Caritas Foundation, Rm 3C60, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5K 0L4

Dear Alfie,
I just learned about your tragic loss. When you played at Night Caps many years ago I had hoped one night I might see the love of your life. I shed tears tonight because the pain you must be feeling, and the pain I feel in her passing. The evolution of your music over the past years I know is because of the great love, devotion, and admiration you held for this special lady. Recently, your words seemed so much more defined like your love was intensified.
I have always loved your music, your lyrics as they reflect the realities of love, joy, sorrow, loss.
Sonny was at your side when you were so ill in 1996. I prayed for you then, I pray for you now.
