Dear Linda,I just learned about Spence's passing and I am so so very sad. You and Spence were our best neighbors in Christie Park. You welcomed us with open arms into your house, so full of warmth and family values (with your dear dad Erny) and showed up at midnight (October 1992) to take care of Andréane the night our son was born, in PJs with a beer in the hand, walking with slippers in the snow between the 2 houses! Spence with his Madonna album, guns,gadgets, and his pc problems because your rabbit kept eating the cables! Our prayers are for Spence, and you, dear friend. From Québec, Monique, Andréane, Simon, Claude.

Many years ago, Spence was my boss. He taught me courage and confidence. He always treated me like a family friend instead of an employee. I have thought about him many times over the past several years. He will be missed. Amy (Bowes) Piche

I just learned of Spence's passing. He was a great neighbor in Regina, an even better friend as time went on and I enjoyed working for him on my retirement from the RCMP. Our family will always have fond memories of the girls growing up together, out outings at the lake and our adult friendships.

My memories of Spence, my mother's cousin, will always be of hot summer days at their family cabin at Buffalo Pound Lake. Lots of food, lots of laughter and horrible tasting water! Also, an archery lesson. I also remember the pride I felt watching Spence on (Regina) TV --- I knew someone FAMOUS! My sincerest condolences to the family. Rest in peace & blessings on your loved ones.

An old colleague and friend from my media days has died. I'm sure some of you will remember some of Spence's antics while doing the weather. He could have been a stand up comic!! My best memory is when Spence had me shooting my bow and arrow in the studio at a bulls eye (with one bale of straw behind to stop the arrow). The commerical was for KFC and needless to say the cameraman was a bit nervous; not knowing I was a Provincial Champion Archer. Spence loved life, He always was ahead of the pack with ideas.
Sad to hear of his passing!

I'm so sorry to hear of Spence passing. I worked for him in the early days of Dome Advertising and learned so much from him. He was kind, patient and saw humour in situations that no one else could. Those were good days!

Dear Linda,
I was so very sorry & sad to read just now of Spence's passing. He was such a kind and friendly man and I can picture him as I write, sitting at a table in Mountain Bistro in Bragg Creek having a bowl of soup. You both were always so friendly and welcoming to me and I never forget it.
Please know I'm thinking of you.

Bozak Family;
Wether it was way back 'in the day' when we worked at CK TV together in Regina, or in the Ralph Klein era when we were working with the PC's in Alberta, Spence always had that special blend of humor and deep thinking. We remember a sunny but brisk day [in Sask. that's 20 below Celsius] when we hauled our snowmobiles and did some riding and camp fires at the Bozak cottage at Buffalo Pound. We remember the big black dog that rode on the snowmobile, smiling into the wind. It was my good fortune as one of the Olympic Guys, to welcome Spence to Calgary in the run up to the '88 Games. He and Laurie had gotten a contract as the official pin supplier and what better representative on the ground in Calgary than Spence! I remember a Greek dinner one night when we were on the eve of the Games. Spence being from Moose Jaw was really an Albertan at heart with the entrepreneurial bent that all former Sask. guys like us learned we had when it was uncovered when we landed here at various times in the past. I remember once he was selling ladders that would roll up for storage, he said he'd tried them out and they were as safe as the old kind that did not roll up. At our age a good day is when you don't see any body you know in the Obituary page! Today was not one of those good days, but unfortunately one with sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

So many memories of a very young, likeable and confident Spence Bozak walking into my office at CHAB TV in Moose Jaw to audition for a High School Reporter spot on my Teen Tempo TV Show. It was obvious Spence had talent and a DJ position was soon offered, later he became the Teen Tempo Host and continued to accomplish so much as the years went on.

I am saddened to hear of Spences passing. I remember the days of working with him when he was at Dome...working first to get Grant Devine's PC's elected and then as the official Advertising Agency for the Government. Great sense of Humour but very asstute in the world of advertising.

Saddened to hear of Spence's death - I worked with him at Dome many years ago - he was funny, kind and a good listener. My favorite Bozak quote " Governments may come and governments may go, but chicken lasts forever!"
