I was privileged to meet Stacey the very day she was diagnosed. The courage she displayed was and will always be an inspiration to me in my life. My prayer is that her courage & spirit will be carried on by her daughter.

Watching our daughters grow up and play softball for all of those years at Miley and later at EJ with Coach John were great memories. Making the road trips and experiencing the wins and losses gave us a chance to bond with our girls and to let them know how much we loved them and wanted to be a part of their lives.

As you know, we can not always understand why things happen a certain way in life, but we do know that God is our ultimate coach, and somehow he wanted Stacey safe on base where it really counts. Now she will just have to do her spiritual coaching and cheering-on for lovely daughter Makayla, and for her brother Jeff, from higher up... but I have no doubt that she will always be there for you guys. And now you will be here for her as well, to share her memories with each other, and to live life as she would have wanted you to.

Stacey has left your family with many good memories, and most important we now have the hope and means of rejoining Stacey and our other loved ones when it is our time to round the bases. I suspect that Stacey will be waiting for you somewhere near home plate, with that softball in her hand and that smile on her face to welcome you.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Stacy was lucky to have a great family full of love and support. I did not know Stacy as a friend. I only knew her as a great mother that wore a beautiful smile! We only shared the usual hello and good bye from the ballgames or at the ST.MM functions. There was Stacy cheering for Makayla through her good times and her rough times.Truly amazing! You will get to see signs of Stacy through Makayla and Jeff from now on. Her heart will always be visible right here on earth. God takes great people sometimes. We never know why!! But we do know this, He sure got a keeper in Stacy.

I am so sorry to hear of Stacy's passing. I remember her as a sweet young girl who was so frinedly and always smiling. Our prayers are with you all as you move forward without your beautiful Stacy. I remember we use to hang out at your house when we where teenagers and sit and laugh and cut up till your mother would come out and hush us up lol but the one thing ill always remember about you is you always had a smile on your face anytime I would see you .

You put up an amazing fight. You never gave up and you would laugh at us when we would lecture you! We saw the love you and Makayla have for eachother. She is a lucky girl to have such a strong foundation. We will never forget you, Stacey. May you rest in peace and watch over all of us.

I never thought that our last conversation was going to be that.I seriously thought that last trip to the doctor meant something else. You were definitely a beautiful firecracker with a beautiful smile and we always had good times together.
