To Stacey's family:
My name is Jeff Thomas. I met Stacey in October 1988 in Frederick, Maryland, where she was volunteering at a street fair and I was performing as a member of Deanna Bogart's band. I just today received the terrible news from Deanna of Stacey's passing.
Stacey and I grew very close in the months before I returned to Boston in June of 1989. We organized the first benefit concert for the homeless in Frederick, which I understand still takes place every year. We had last spoken in 1997 when Stacey reconnected with me through Deanna Bogart and had talked of a visit, which sadly never came to pass. I have a few lovely photographs to share if anybody would like. I am deeply saddened by Stacey's loss, but very proud of what she has done with her life. Love you, Stacey. Jeff.

Dear Stace,

You have touched my life in so many ways. I will never forget your kindness and joy when we first became step-sisters at 5 and 6 years old. It was like we found the sister we always wanted. We told people we were twins, because we looked alike, but more importantly because were soul twins. We needed each other, and we filled up what was empty in our lives. When you came over to my house, it was the highlight of my life. We went on every vacation together glued to each other’s side. We cheerleaded, worked at Magic Valley together and went to proms together- memories I’ll never forget.

You were so strong as a kid. You just took care of everything- me, your friends, Fritzi, your mom, the house and more. You were the kind of person who reached out and befriended the kid at school no one wanted to bother with. The kids in the wheelchairs, the kids who needed help. You took me in your home to live with you when things got rough for me in high school. You just had this unique spirit about you everybody loved.

I love you Stacey, and I always will. I cherish the memories of the valuable time we spent together as sisters. I’m so glad we reconnected and hugged and cried and said “I love you” over and over again at Alexondra’s wedding. You taught me how to laugh, how to be silly, how to give and how to be selfless, how to be a friend and how to love. Those are gifts I’ll always take with me throughout my life. I will forever be thankful to you. Your legacy goes in Dominic, your friends, and the dogs and their owners you loved. EVERYTHING you taught me about love and being joyful during our precious time together I have passed on to my children and will live on in my children.
Your sister forever,
Kiery

Harry and Family,
I am shocked and saddened upon hearing the news of Stacey's death. We were roomates during our Hood College years and great friends. We had so much fun together- we were always up to something. The summer we shared an apartment together in Frederick, MD was the best summer of my life. I deeply regret losing touch with her over the years, although I thought of her often. Once you knew Stacey, she was one you could never forget. She taught me so much and truly had an influence on the woman I am today.

To the Lee and Stranieri family.
Back when we were young, Stacey and I spent alot of time together at the old Magic Valley. We both worked there and our job was to to keep baby Alexondra out of trouble. Stacey had a very kind and gentle soul about her. I will always remember her laugh and "silly" ways of doing things.
Harry, old friend, always remember how she could make us all laugh with her playful ways. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. Just remember....

To Stacey's family:

My heart goes out to you for your, and our, loss. I worked downtown for many years and one of the bright spots of my day was to say hello and speak a few moments with Stacey. Never was there a warmer, friendlier person than Stacey. Once, as a volunteer Stroudsburg fire fighter, I reported for a call to Stacey's home in South Stroudsburg. When I walked into the kitchen, fully geared up in SCBA airpack, carrying the irons, she grabbed me and gave me a big old hug, to thank me for helping her. She was so special and her passing leaves a void in our town.

A FALLEN ANGEL FINDS HER WAY HOME

Stacey was the best friend one could ever have. She was the kindest, most caring, loving, generous woman any man, stray dog, cat or even a lost rooster (long story) could ever hope to come into their life.
Always there to listen, comfort and give freely from her huge heart. Creative and intelligent. She was a woman who never lost that beautiful, innocent spirit of a little girl.
I wish her dogs; Lola and Freeman could use the computer and write because they would agree how wonderful Stacey was even if she did call them her dumb babies!!!
I feel blessed to have known and called Stacey my friend. She helped me through difficult times with compassion, grace and a strong moral guidance.
On a lighter side. She taught me organization. My kitchen, refridgerator and pantry show her influence. All cans in neat lines, labels facing forward. Never mix the soups, or canned fruit with the vegtables. Without her I still won't know what fabric softener was for. I will always smile and think of her when I smell Pine Sol. I can now even properly fold fitted sheets!!
God speed, Thank you Lord for letting us have this angel even if for too short a while.
