Stacy Reed Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 10, 2016.
Stacy Batte Reed

Cumming, GA

Anastasia (Stacy) Lucille Batte Reed went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 6th, after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm. Her visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ridgeland, MS, on Thursday, August 11th from 5-7 PM. Funeral service will be held at Southside Assembly of God, 665 Raymond Road, Jackson, MS, on Friday, August 12th at 11 AM.

Stacy was born in Jackson, MS on June 6, 1981, to Richard Cranford Batte and Anastasia Tattis Batte. Her beauty, radiant smile, and love for life were obvious to everyone who knew her, and she made family and friends a priority in her life. She was a fun-loving, witty and wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Stacy married Justin Christopher Reed and they welcomed two precious children, Noah and Anna Kate, into their lives. They relocated to the Atlanta area in 2011 where she enjoyed volunteering at her children's school, boating, sewing and attending her Women's Bible Study.

Stacy is survived by her parents, Anastasia Batte and Richard Batte (Beth); her husband, Justin Reed, her beloved children, Noah Reed (age 10) and Anna Kate Reed (age 6), along with her sister, Rachel Batte Dow (Grant), sister-in-law, Jennifer Reed Howard (Will), step-brother, Jonathan Rice, and her much loved nieces and nephews. Preceding Stacy in death were her maternal grandparents, Frankie and Anthony Tattis, and her paternal grandparents, Lucy and O.K. Batte.

The family is deeply grateful to the doctors and nurses at Marcus Stroke Center at Grady Memorial Hospital for their outstanding care of Stacy during her illness. Memorial gifts may be sent to the Marcus Stroke Center, 80 Jesse Hill Jr. Drive, SE, Atlanta, GA 30303.

She has touched my life and her death has taught me lesson that what ever we have is this moment we should live it the most and spend time with our loved ones as future is unpredictable
I m so sad and heartbroken and feel sorry for this loss
It's a big loss esp for her immediate family
May God give patience to her family and rest her soul in peace Ameen

My condolences to Stacy's family and friends. I wasn't lucky enough to know her during this lifetime but I'm sure we would've been friends. I had the privilege of meeting her mother, Anastasia, and husband, Justin, that were by her side every day during their stay at Peachtree Christian Hospice. I have thought of you all every day since I drove home to Little Rock on Saturday, asking my sister (Lauren) if you were still there. When she texted me on Sunday that the room was empty, my heart sank and I couldn't stop thinking of you all so I had to search online with the limited info I knew, and here I am. BIG HUGS to you friends and thinking of you all daily.
Much Love,
