Stanley Andrade (1941-2018)
Stanley (Stan) Louis Andrade passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2018. He was born March 2, 1941 in San Jose, California to Louis and Wilhelmina Andrade. Stan grew up in Brentwood, California where he graduated from Liberty High School in 1959 and graduated from University of California Hayward. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1968.
On March 4, 1961, Stan married Michele Schwitters. He worked for DuPont in Antioch, California. In 1973, he moved to Portland, Texas to work for DuPont Ingleside. He retired from DuPont in 1993 after 30 years of service.
Stan was an avid fisherman and Gregory-Portland sports fan. He coached girls' softball and boys' baseball for many years. He was a lifetime 49er fan. He spent his retirement playing an active part in his grandchildren's lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Gladys Andrade, and three infant sons. Stan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Michele and his daughter, Jennifer (Darren) Chapman, his grandson Eric (Stephanie) Clarkson, his granddaughter, Ashley (Jody) Henson and his great-granddaughter, Ella Brook Clarkson.
Stan will be laid to rest in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
