To the family of Dr Stanley Ash,

I first met Dr Ash when I was a

freshman in 1960. Grade problems forced me to sit out of the college for a year, but when I returned, Dr Ash was genuinly pleased to see me back in school. He became my advisor and was my favorite instructor at Marshall. He had a wonderful snese of humor. I offer my condolences to your family at his death.

Judy and Susan,

Stan was a very special person. There was nothing he couldn't fix or build or figure out. He gave so much of himself to others without ever thinking of getting something back. He will be missed and remembered by a lot of people.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Ash family,Stan was one of my favorite professors and also sat on my oral examine for my Master's Degree.

I'll never forget our trip to the Cranberry Glades to do a project while staying in the Richwood Hilton, as he would call it.

May God Bless.

Susan,

So sorry to hear of your fathers passing. Hopefully the comfort of family and friends will help during this time. My and my family's prayers are for you and your family.

I want you to know that I never have seen a university professor enjoy teaching a group of silly freshman as I did your father. It is an honor to have been taught by such a man of high regard.

Take care and Gods speed.

Dear Family and Freinds of Dr. Stan,

As a student of Dr. Ash in the 70's, his teaching and friendship had a lasting impact on my life.

His teaching style both in the field and the classroom made our natural environment come alive.

Field trips to Cranberry Glades are among my best college memories. Please be comforted in knowing he touched many liives.

In Sympathy,

Jean Anderson
