A Father Never Dies
When you lose someone you truly love, it’s only right to cry
But as long as you are here on earth, your dad will never die
When you glance into a mirror now, just to check out your complexion
Is it you that’s there looking back at you, or do you see your dad’s reflection
You see his eyes or his hair line, or you see him in your stance
If only for a fleeting moment, he’s there in that quick glance
When you use a phrase of strong correction that your father used on you
As you hear the words role off your tongue, you see Dad’s words were true
When you tell a joke, or hear your laugh, or you kneel at night to pray
You’ll feel your father by your side as you live from day to day
As you gather here together, whether children, wife, or friends
Remember life is just a vapor and his new life now begins
He’ll reach the heights of Heaven, and he’ll walk on streets of gold
Where he’ll run to meet his Savior, towards the mansions Christ foretold
As you linger here and share some tears with loved ones all around
Know your dad is up in heaven where peace and joy abounds
He’s in a place of life eternal where he’ll watch you from above
And he’ll wait for you beyond the gate wrapped up in God’s great love.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Larry's loved ones. I worked at Olin for many years. Larry was always joking and laughing about something. He made the days brighter when he was around. I am so sorry for your loss.
